Dream homes and reality checks

It was some time in the early '70s that Minal Chinchkar's parents sat down and made a list of the family's future financial goals. The main goal was to educate the children, and to own a house. Initially, money flow was extremely tight. His father, a professor of accounts and economics working for the Maharashtra government, started out with a salary of merely a few hundred rupees. They could only dream of owning a house.
